Prof. Mojees Alabi for Governor???


(My View) Let me clear the air for those asking me If my Boss is having intention to Contest Osun Governorship Ambition!!!

 Who is Professor Aare Mojeed Alabi? Take your time to know this credible man!

A University Professor, Legal Practitioner, Governance Expert, & Policy Consultant

Professor Mojeed Olujinmi A. Alabi, FJAPSS, is a Professor and former Head, Department of Political Science and Adjunct Professor, Department of Public Law, both at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria.

A Nigerian born in Cote d'Ivoire, he was educated at the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) and the University of Ibadan, both in Nigeria, and University of Leicester (UK).

He has B.Sc. (1984), M.Sc. (1988) and Ph.D (2000) degrees in Political Science. He also has LL.B. (1989), B.L. (1993), LL.M. (2006), and PhD (2013) in Law.

Academic laurels to his credit include:
Professor David Ijalaye Prize for the Overall Best Student in Masters of Laws (LL.M.) for 2005/2006 Session, Obafemi Awolowo University; Postgraduate Fellowship Award, Obafemi Awolowo
University, 1985-1988; African Fellowship Award, American University in Cairo, Egypt, 1986/87 (not
utilized); and the Best Overall Student in Political Science, University of Ife, 1984.

Alabi has a background in academics, and had taught Political Science, Public Administration, International Law & Diplomacy and Public Law in four Nigerian universities, starting with his Alma mater - Obafemi Awolowo University.

As a researcher and training consultant, he was an Expert in Good Governance, Ethics andvProfessionalism in the Public Sector at the Centre Africain de Formation et de Recherche Administratives pour le Developpement
(CAFRAD),based in Tangiers, the Kingdom of Morocco (2008-2010).

Professor Alabi's research and consultancy activities have focussed on the reform of governance institutions, particularly the role of the judiciary and the legislature in facilitating good
governance.

He is the author of The Supreme Court
in the Nigerian Political System 1963-1997(2002), editor of Unbroken Legacy of Service: Speaker Bello’s Twelve Years under Three Administrations in Osun State (2011), and co-editor of Perspectives
on the Legislature in the Government of Nigeria (2010).

He has over 30 articles in learned journals and books, and several other seminar and public presentations.

Professor Alabi has attended over 25 academic/learned conferences, and participated in over 55 leadership/management workshops, seminars,
retreats and conferences in Nigeria, Morocco, United Kingdom, Republic of South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Namibia, Rwanda and Australia.

He is registered as a Consultant on the data base of the Africa Development Bank (ADB) and the Department of Technical Cooperation in Africa
(DTCA), and is on regular consultancy work for Action Aid International Nigeria (AAIN), an international NGO.

Professor Alabi has held many leadership and management positions.

He was on the Editorial Boards of the Ife Social Sciences Review (1996-1998) and the Ilorin Journal of Business and
Social Sciences (2006-2007), the Organiser of the Master in International Studies (MIS) Programme (March 2006-August 2008), and a Member of the
Unilorin Strategic Planning Review Committee (2008).

At the governmental level!

He was the Secretary to Ejigbo Local Government in Osun State, Nigeria (January 1991 November 1993), and Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly (May 1999-May 2003).

He served on part-time basis as a Member, Committee on LAUTECH Crisis and the Osun Schools Infrastructure Development Committee (O'Schools),
both established by the Government of the State of Osun, Nigeria.

From the foregoing, there is no doubt that this man has charisma, political will, intellect and knowledge to be our next governor.

And if he declare his intention to context as Next Osun governor then I will graciously want all of us to endorse him!
